March 1st
Good evening everyone, from McGrath for the second time in as many years.
I’ve made the trip on my recently named bicycle Black Betty, to the finish line of the ITI-350, which now becomes my starting line.
Tomorrow morning I’ll venture off into the unknown of spirit, mind, body, and geography. Each mile will be a brand new quest on the 1000-Miles to Nome. I can’t wait! We’ve made it so far, and now we have the real adventure to take on. I hope I’m up to the task.
Thank you all for all your well wishes, all your prayers, I feel you through that GPS tracker, I know you’re with me. And for all the people who have their names all over my bicycle, this is for you - cancer survivors, fighters, those who we’ve lost.
I hope if the cancer fight is something that’s important to you, you’ll go to our website and make a donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
100% of your donation goes to fight blood cancers, it’s tax deductible, and you’ll feel damn good about yourself when you do it.
The race really just begins now.
Heh…race...I’m not racing anybody, I’m here for two people. Me, and You.
Tomorrow. Onwards!
