March 17th
Good morning everyone!
The wind has subsided in Shaktoolik and it’s time for the blue dot to move. I’ve never felt so close to my ultimate goal and at the same time so far away, but the messages that I receive and the names on my bike belay me when I’m at my lowest.
This morning I’ve never felt more alive, more determined to cross this last patch of sea ice and to make you all proud, and to do justice to the names on this bicycle.
I have no idea what this evening’s windstorm has done to the trail in front of me, but I will not stop. I will not stop until I get to Koyuk.
Thanks to all of you.
Onwards!
