The Iditarod Trail Invitational: 1000 miles of mountainous Alaskan back country from Anchorage to Nome. Miles of isolated wilderness, unpredictable weather, and temperatures well below zero - These are just a few of the reasons the Iditarod is hailed as the world's toughest race by Trail Runner Magazine.
"1000 Miles to Nome" started as a YouTube series and is now going to be a movie documenting Steve's journey on the iconic trail as he fights to make it to the finish line of the brutal 1000-mile race. In fact, since its inception in 2000, only 39 bikers have reached the Burke's Arch finish line in Nome. Not only would he join an elite few in that accomplishment, but he would also be the very first Iowan to do so!
Your support will go directly to the making of this movie, and help Steve to share this story and journey with everybody who dares to dream, whatever that dream may be.
